Deana works as a Veterinary Assistant with Dr. Christy Hooper and has been with Culbreth Carr Watson Animal Clinic since 2013. She is currently enrolled at Penn Foster College working towards her Veterinary Technician license. Some of her favorite parts about working at an animal clinic include getting to see the bonds people have with their pets, as well as seeing the relationships develop between the staff, clients and patients. She loves learning about the various diseases and how to treat them, especially being able look at slides under the microscope and seeing the critters on such a microscopic level.
In her free time, she enjoys anything outdoors, four wheeling, white water rafting, camping, walking with her animals and family, and just about any board game. Her family is a big support team for her, and she loves being able to watch her son grow and to be apart of his contagious laughter. She has four dogs: Abby, a Dachshund mix; Dock, a Beagle; Grady, a Labrador mix; and Rose, a mixed breed; as well as a cat named Luke. She wouldn’t trade her wild and crazy crew for the world!
