Amy Warren
DVM, Medical Director
Education: Mississippi State University
Dr. Warren graduated from MSU with a degree in Animal Science and attended Mississippi State University where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She has one sister and grew up in a small town in Northwest Alabama, Haleyville, where the first ever 911 call was made. She has been with Culbreth Carr Watson Animal Clinic since 2002. Her favorite part about veterinary medicine is ophthalmology, internal medicine and of course – the puppies and kittens! Dr. Warren loves being able to not only help the animals, but their people too. In her free time she enjoys reading and traveling.
She has four dogs: Merle, (DNA tested to be a German Shepherd/Lab/Great Pyrenees/Jack Russell) who was found with a broken leg; Coco, a Yorkie Poo who came to the clinic after being hit by a car; and Morgan and Tucker, who were found on the side of the road and tested positive for the Parvo virus. She also has two cats, Coe and Conway; five Belgian mules: John Henry, Liza Jane, Delta Dawn, Earl and Sally; as well as five Belgian horses: Jessi, June, Ray, Mel and Lou.
Shelby Moore
DVM
Education: Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Shelby Moore graduated from Birmingham Southern College with a degree in Biology before attending Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the CCW team Summer of 2017 and likes being able to learn something new everyday from the (awesome) people she works with. She loves being able to help others by helping their four-legged family members. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is surgery, dermatology and integrative/rehabilitative medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Moore enjoys doing anything athletic or outdoors (especially if she can bring her dogs to enjoy the activities), painting and drawing, reading and listening to interesting podcasts.
She has four furry children to go home to, Nala, a 4yr. old chocolate lab who loves frisbee and running; Tilly, an 8 month old black lab who loves “fetching” her sister Nala; Biscuit, a 6yr. old kitty who loves talking on the phone; and Bagheera, a 5yr. old kitty who loves to be pet and scratched under his chin. Her parents also have two dogs and five cats, her sister has a hedgehog and beta fish, and her brother doesn’t have a pet yet – but it’s coming. I think it’s safe to say they are a big furry family!
